Opening meeting
Mary opened the meeting and thanked everyone
for attending.
Approved Minutes from September meeting
The Minutes from the September meeting were approved.
Class representatives
Natalia Hartin will move from being Nursery
Assistant Rep to Yr 6 Class Rep. A new Nursery Asst Rep needs to
be found.
Mary asked that all class reps norminate an
assistant and let Cate Lyons know
(fpta.besg@gmail.com) , in
order to circulate their contact details.
Halloween Part
This year’s Halloween Party, scheduled for Friday 24 October, has attracted unprecedented interest. It was originally envisaged that the event would be open to 40 children, however the final number is expected to be just over 100.
Given such a large attendance, the party will be held in the Red Lion Club and the hall, and students will be split into two groups: infants and juniors.
Dawn said 20 volunteers would be needed. Twelve FPTA members volunteered during the meeting. Mary asked class reps to email their year group parents to find others also willing to help. Bella will compile a final list of volunteers and pass to Dawn.
Bella called for donations to decorate the hall.
Guy Fawkes Night
Ebru will chair the Guy Fawkes sub-committee that includes:

Other issues included:

Class reps will ask their year group parents to volunteer to run a main activity for 30 minutes. Six volunteers are needed in total.

Holly will liaise with Dawn about setting up a desk next week in the front office of the school to sell tickets.

Dawn will draw up a ‘jobs’ list’ for the teachers that will include selling food & drinks’ tokens and raffle tickets.

The sub-committee is to meet this week if possible, and at least once more before the event.
*Holly noted last year’s raffle at Guy Fawkes raised 1165.00 YTL
Treasurer’s Report
Holly provided the following update re our current finances.

The balance brought forward from 2007-2008: 221.90 YTL (compared with 919 YTL brought forward from 2006-2007).

Profit from the September BBQ: 100 YTL. (The raffle earned 339 YTL.)

Profit from name tags: 160 YTL

Projected earnings from Halloween Party: 1050 YTL

Profit from uniform sales to date 136 YTL
