FOCUS OF THE WEEK

This week we have been thinking about saying “Thank You” to all of the people who help us everyday.

VISIT TO PUPPET THEATRE

On Wednesday 30^th May Year 2 watched a puppet show sponsored by the Spanish Embassy. Thank you very much Ms Lozano, parent of Guillermo in Reception for the complimentary tickets. It was a fantastic performance enjoyed by all the children.

BOYS HAIR

We have encouraged all girls to have their hair neat and tidy, tied up in a pony tail or plaits. Thank you for helping with this.

Many of the boys however, have very long, unruly hair. Many of them cannot see very well because of the hair in their eyes. We have also had a case of head lice in school. Please ensure that boy’s hair is combed and smart for school and tied back if it is long. Thank you.

EARLY MORNING CLUBS

Please note that we cannot accept siblings of children signed up for early morning clubs. The basketball club is for Year5 & 6 only.

LATE ARRIVALS

There are a small number of children still arriving late every day. Please send your child to school on time. School starts at 8.40am.

FPTA NEWS

As the school year draws to a close it is time to think about the election of a new FPTA. If you are interested in getting involved with our FPTA 2008-9 please contact Lale Özkan, FPTA Chair.

NEW ARRIVALS

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Giles Portman on the birth of their baby son, Matthias. Congratulations to the Büyükhanlı family on their birth of their baby son, Baran.

HOME LANGUAGE BOOKS

We would like to add to our growing collection of mother tongue books in the school library. If you would like to donate any books in your home Language please send them to Mrs. Nikki Weisser. Thank you.
