TEACHERS TRAINING DAY

This week Mr. Robin McClelland Senior Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University provided training for all the staff. As many of you already know I have an Action Research Project at the school which focuses on Formative Assessment. This project involves looking at the change management of a whole school initiative into Assessment for Learning.

This is my final dissertation subject which hopefully I will submit in October for an MA in International Education. Mr. McClelland my tutor, provided training for all staff in peer and self evaluation for children. This is the second phase of the project. This Action Research project is based on empirical research previously carried out at Kings College London. It outlines key strategies for improvement of learning. We have been implementing these strategies since September. They involve sharing the Learning objectives with the children and devising success criteria so that the children are active learners.

Congratulations!
