SCHOOL WEBSITE

We are very pleased to introduce you to the new Useful links section of our school website. There are helpful links for parents, teachers and children. BESG children can play games and access educational sites linked to their year groups. Follow the pupil link to ecokids for great Earth Day activities.

A big thank you to Ms Gibson our IT coordinator who has worked hard to make this happen.

SMARTBOARDS

Interactive whiteboards have now been fitted in Reception, Year1 and Year2 classrooms. The staff have had their first session of inset training and we feel confident this new technology will enhance the education of our younger pupils.

WORLD WATER DAY

We are really pleased to have raised 204.5YTL in the cookie decorating fundraiser for World water day.

SWIMMING

We have noticed that many of the children are very hungry after their swimming lessons. Could you please make sure your child has an extra healthy snack on swimming days. Thank you.

NAMES OF UNIFORMS

This week the teachers labelled sweatshirts and PE kits with indelible markers in order for us to attempt to control the enormous amount of lost property we seem to generate. Please help us this week end by naming your children’s clothing. Thank you.

SISTER SCHOOL

Many parents will be aware that BESG has been involved in a community project to help paint and equip a library at Bademlidere school. As this project was successful we have decided to continue this valuable experience of making a positive contribution to the wider community and made a link with another Turkish primary school in Karataş village. We will join them on the 23^rd April Children's Day Celebrations at their school. More details to follow.
