FOCUS OF THE WEEK

Facing Our Fears

Our assembly focus this week has been about looking for strategies for facing our fears. We read the story “The hare, the lion, the man and the dog” and gave each other advice about what to do when we are afraid.

ECIS NOVEMBER CONFERENCE

Ms Lindsay and I attended the ECIS conference in Madrid. We heard Dr Mel Levine talk about Brain theory and helping children with specific learning needs. You can visit his website at http://www.allkindsofminds.org/

The keynote speaker was Dr Michael Thompson who has written about the underachievement of boys. His bestseller “Raising Cain, Protecting the emotional life of boys” is available from Amazon.

LOST HATS ETC

This is the season of lost hats and gloves! Please make sure that every piece of clothing is named! Teachers are doing their best to keep track of all the clothes in school , help your child to learn to place their hats and gloves in the pockets or sleeves of their coats.Thank you!
