REPORTS AND TEACHER CONFERENCES: At the start of the school year staff hold a meeting for all parents. This meeting introduces the work of the class and general matters of organisation. Later in the autumn term an evening consultation meeting is held. This is also provided in the spring term. At the end of the school year a report is sent home and an opportunity to discuss this is provided.

Parents are able to discuss their child’s progress at other times by prior arrangement with the class teacher or Head.

RESIDENTIAL TRIPS: These are an important element in the life of the BESG. Trips are held for pupils in the Key Stage 2-3. The trips are carefully designed to support the work of the classroom through first-hand experience. They also help with our aims and programme in social development.
The following is the current pattern:

Year 3: Three day trip to Cappodocia
Year 4: Five days in Pastoral Vadi - Fethiye
Year 5: Five days to Space Camp - Izmir
Year 6: Five days in Gallipoli
Year 7: Four days in Space Camp - Izmir

If a child’s arrangements for going home change in any way parents should notify the class teacher by email before 12 noon. After this time we cannot guarantee the message can be acted upon. If there is any doubt, and parents cannot be contacted, the original arrangements will remain in effect.
