Dear Parents,
I wish to let you know, that child in the Reception
class has have been reported as having “strep throat”
(known as or “Beta” in Turkish) in our school. This is
usually treated with antibiotics to try to reduce
complication risk.
If your child develops symptoms of throat infection
you may wish to let your medical provider know or
consider a throat culture for your child. As you may
know most sore throats are viral and thus not treated
with antibiotics.
If your child is diagnosed with this illness please
do not send them back to school until a full 24hours of
antibiotic treatment has been completed, and do not send
your child to school at any time if ill.
Our school policy is to inform parents the incidence
of this infection, hence my note to you today. There are
many websites giving extra information but a useful one
is
www.cks.library.nhs.uk
These are other ones.
