Sun Safety

At this time of the year, we place emphasis on sun safety education with pupils. We have also decided that in the interest of pupil health, we will ask students not to play in any sunny area unless they have a hat  and have applied sun cream at some time of the day (either before or during school). We will also giver extra team points to pupils wearing sun glasses. Some parents have asked about suitable hats and we are in the process of having the design of our school hat changed to provide better protection. Meanwhile, for the rest of this term, we will accept any other sun safe hats if parents cannot find the current school hat of their child. Please do reinforce these messages at home and allow the children to model your own sun safe behaviour outside school. Thank you for your support on this important subject.

Spare Uniform
I would be grateful for donations of ONLY spare underwear, socks and small trousers.

Healthy Lunches

Thought you might like to try this great recipe which was given by our teaching assistant Mrs Kardas. I tried it and its delicious-the kids agreed too!.

Spinach Cake

3 eggs
½ cup sunflower oil
1 +1/2 cup sugar
3 cups flour
1 packet vanilla
1 packet baking powder
1 cup cooked, chopped and strained spinach

Mix all ingredients in processor and bake for about 40 mins at 180 degrees.
Yes -its that simple- can serve with cream or ice cream on top!

Yours sincerely
