The BESG is governed by a board of volunteers known as the Board of Governors, whose primary responsibility is to oversee the operation of the Study Group in terms of such matters as finance, staffing, discipline, the admission and exclusion of pupils, the development and upkeep of the premises, and in broad terms, the curriculum. The Board is primarily a policy-making and strategic planning body with individual members taking on supervisory and management roles within various areas of the school. Currently, we have governors responsible for finance, buildings, public relations, admissions and staff and teacher recruitment.

The Board of Governors meets every four to six weeks throughout the school year. Parents who have any questions, concerns, or suggestions that they would like to have addressed by the Board should contact one of the Parent Governors, at their emails listed on the Members page. Letters may also be sent to the Board directly or to the attention of the Chairman, Giles Portman.
